I grew up watching my parents compost at our family garden. Back then almost nobody did it. The normal thing was to burn plant waste or haul it to the dump. But my parents had a pile in the corner of the yard, and every spring that pile turned into the darkest, richest soil I’d ever seen. That stuck with me.

I have been composting on my own for over 10 years, working through open piles, tumblers, worm bins, and bokashi, adapting methods to different seasons and goals. I compost year-round on my own property in a climate with hot summers and cold winters, and run this site because I genuinely love this topic. Soil health, organic gardening, the simple idea that your kitchen scraps can feed your garden instead of a landfill. I wanted to build something real around that, and LetsCompostIt is it.
